Specified Fittings, a manufacturer of high-density polyethylene pipe fittings, is opening a new facility at the Southern Carolina Industrial Campus in Early Branch, South Carolina.

The project is expected to bring approximately $1.8 million in capital investment and lead to the creation of 36 new jobs. Specified Fittings’s new Hampton County operations will be co-locating in an existing building that also houses NUPI Americas’ operations. Expected to be up and running by the second quarter of 2018.

“We are excited to settle into the Southern Carolina Industrial Campus and look forward to bringing new employment opportunities to the surrounding areas. As a western-based manufacturer, we are grateful for the opportunity and eager to serve the eastern United States more efficiently. The Port will allow us to expand into more foreign markets and grant us a greater vision for the future,” said Specified Fittings CEO Tom Franzen.

“We’re proud to welcome Specified Fittings to the South Carolina business community, it’s a privilege to welcome any company that has decided to invest here. The 36 new jobs that Specified Fittings is bringing to Hampton County will make a big difference in the local community,” said Governor Henry McMaster.

“This announcement is a tremendous win for Hampton County, and I congratulate Specified Fittings on their decision to establish new operations in our state. Today’s announcement demonstrates the continued strength of South Carolina’s manufacturing sector and is a testament to the positive business climate and highly-skilled workforce present in all corners of the state,” Secretary of Commerce Bobby Hitt said.

“Specified Fittings will not only bring new jobs and investment into our region, they will be an important part of our advanced manufacturing sector in our industrial community. We at SouthernCarolina Alliance offer our full support to assist the company in any way that we can as they develop their operations,” said SouthernCarolina Alliance Chairman Buddy Phillips.
