American Foam Fiber & Supplies Midwest, Inc. (AFFS), a manufacturer and supplier of foam and fiber products, will invest more than $3 million to locate a new production center in Indianapolis, Indiana, according to the Indiana governor's office. The California-headquartered company plans to create 50 jobs over the next three years with the project. "We are pleased to expand our business into the Midwest and bring opportunities to the Indianapolis community," says Jack Hung, AFFS president. "Indiana's strong transportation infrastructure and low cost of doing business initially attracted us to the state as we looked for ways to better support our growing client base." The three-year-old company will move into an existing 45,000-square-foot facility; it is the company's first expansion outside its headquarters. The state has offered AFFS up to $100,000 in performance-based tax credits and up to $30,000 in training grants, contingent on job creation; the state and city will also support property tax abatement.
