Area Development
HighRes Biosolutions, a leading provider of laboratory automation products, started construction on the company's new state of the art headquarters facility and operations hub at 102 Cherry Hill Park in Beverly, Massachusetts.

According to company officials, HighRes will relocate its entire product development, manufacturing, and US sales operations to the new Beverly, Massachusetts site. The new facility will also provide the company with the space for further expansion to accommodate future growth.

Lou Guarracina, President/CEO of HighRes Biosolutions said, “The new facility will provide expansion space to at least double the current staff at HighRes. It will also allow the space we need to grow our operations for the manufacture and deployment of several new, key products that are progressing rapidly through the development process towards release. The sleek, ultramodern building will be styled to fit into the existing community and be well equipped with a variety of comfortable and welcoming modern amenities for our employees and visitors to enjoy.”

HighRes worked with the city of Beverly on this building project and relocation effort through the Tax Increment Financing (TIF) Program that the city has put in place to encourage businesses such as HighRes to set up operations in Beverly. HighRes intends to apply further to other city and state incentive programs as part of this project and corporate building and relocation effort to even further accelerate its growth.

The HighRes corporate offices will be situated with easy access to major highways and community amenities and affords HighRes excellent access to the expanding biotechnology hub of the greater Boston area, officials said.

Ira Hoffman, Managing Director at HighRes added “HighRes has experienced explosive growth in sales and headcount in recent years. The situation has reached the point where we really needed to find a new facility for our company. After an extensive search throughout the area, we found Beverly to be the optimum choice for our needs. The opportunity to build an entirely new workspace to our specifications coupled with the level of cooperation we received from Beverly officials were the final deciding factors in our ultimate choice.”
