American Packaging Corporation (APC), a manufacturer of flexible packaging products, will invest $9.3 million to expand its headquarters and production facility in Rochester, New York. The company will construct a 14,000-square-foot addition to add lamination and extruding capacity, and will hire an additional 25 employees in conjunction with the project. The company currently employs 135 workers at the facility. Among the company's products are plastic seals for snack food cans and pouches for convenience foods. The Rochester Democrat and Chronicle reports that APC will receive more than $400,000 in incentive grants from state and local economic development agencies, along with $300,000 in electrical infrastructure work from Rochester Gas & Electric. Construction is expected to begin next week.
