Physicians Immediate Care, an urgent care provider, will locate its payment services operations center in the greater Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania area, bringing 50 new jobs to the region. The firm will establish a 4,800 square-foot medical billing center in Allegheny County’s Green Tree Borough. The company will invest more than $375,000 in renovations, new equipment and employee training.

”We are excited to be opening our payment services center here. The Pittsburgh area was our top choice because of the local healthcare service experience, excellent workforce and favorable business environment,” Stan Blaylock, Physicians Immediate Care CEO and long-time Pittsburgh-area resident, said. “We appreciate all that Governor Corbett and the commonwealth have done to support us in providing the highest level of service to our patients and healthcare clients.”

“We are creating a business climate in Pennsylvania where businesses want to locate, hire new employees and continue growing for years to come,” Gov. Tom Corbett said. “Our success in attracting projects like this is why more than 100,000 Pennsylvanians now are back to work and our unemployment rate is below the national average.”

To assist with Physician Immediate Care's site selection efforts, the company received funding from the Department of Community and Economic Development, including a $75,000 Pennsylvania First Program grant; $100,000 in Job Creation Tax Credits; and $22,500 in Guaranteed Free Training which will be used for skills training for new employees.
