Sonoco is adding another 26 workers at its Beavercreek, Ohio, manufacturing facility as part of a $1.65 million expansion, the Dayton Daily News reports. The facility produces fiber-caulking cartridges for adhesives and sealants.

The plant celebrated the expansion, as well as an impressive safety record.

"We've worked over six years injury-free here," plant manager Norwood Bizzell said. "Safety is a very, very high priority."

The expansion will add 16,000 square feet to its facility, allowing for consolidation of operations from a closed Orrville, Ohio, facility. Sonoco has been located in Beavercreek since 1974.
