Area Development
Air Evac Lifeteam, a national air medical service provider, is expanding in Houston, Missouri, with assistance from the state's Enhanced Enterprise Zone tax credits. Air Evac will receive more than $180,000 in tax credits towards a $1 million capital investment that will create 85 jobs.

The company will use the funds to renovate an old manufacturing facility that was once used by the Lee Apparel Co. The new jobs will be in the patient accounts division.

Air Evac, which has headquarters in West Plains, is the largest independently owned and operated air medical service in the country. It provides air ambulance services in rural areas.
