CGS Tires, an agricultural and industrial tire maker based in the Czech Republic, is bringing 192 jobs to Charles City, Iowa. The company will invest nearly $44 million to revamp a former Winnebago plant to produce its radial tractor and harvester tires.

The Iowa Department of Economic Development (IDED) has extended CGS $924,000 from the Grow Iowa Values Fund to support 154 of the total jobs created. The company and Iowa will sign an agreement today at the Farm Progress Show in Boone.

CGS was established in 1933 as a subsidiary of Michelin.
