GE: Global Innovation Barometer

In its Global Innovation Barometer, General Electric (GE) surveys 1,000 business executives on how to encourage business innovation.

GE has released an independent survey of 1,000 business executives across 12 countries on innovation and growth. The report, called the "GE Global Innovation Barometer," finds that 95 percent of respondents say innovation is the primary way to make a nation's economy more competitive.

The report also asks how to accomplish the task of creating innovation. Respondents suggested:
• Prioritizing technology geared towards local needs
• Seeking innovation from smaller organizations
• Pursuing strategic partnerships
