Behavior: Banner may expand on “rollover” or on “click” by user and must collapse either on “roll-off” or on click by user
Banner may load in expanded state or auto initiate only in pre-approved circumstances.

Creative: When rollover-initiated, expansion panel must close when user rolls off ad. Only small, clearly labeled parts of the banner may cause rollover-expansion - the entire ad cannot be a 'hot spot'. 'Hot spots' must be properly labeled (for example, tabs that say 'preview' 'slide show' 'win prizes').
When click-initiated, expansion panel can close either when user rolls off ad or by clicking. Close Button must be placed in the top right or bottom right corner, labeled clearly and in a juxtaposed 85x25 container

File Size: Initial load must be under 40k, expanding panel must be below 75k

Advertiser served ads: Banner may be served by known third-party rich media vendors but must be submitted with reasonable lead time for staging and testing

Campaign targeting, frequency capping or impression limits from third-party served campaigns is prohibited unless disclosed by agency/client and expressly authorized by Area Development Online

If using a third-party ad server, please provide instructions for inserting publisher click tracking parameter within the provided ad tags

If using a third-party ad server to host email newsletter banners, please provide a redirect URL to the hosted image file and a click URL for each ad unit. Javascript or html ad tags are not accepted for newsletter banners.

Please include an FLA file with full creative and click tag layers for each banner size with instructions for desired expand/close functionality. Publisher will insert all necessary action script code for expanding and closing functionality and conduct all staging and testing of banner.

AREA DEVELOPMENT ONLINE PAYMENT POLICY

Invoices are submitted to advertiser or agency on the launch date of the online sponsor package by Area Development Online billing department. Full payment is due upon receipt of invoice.

Payments not received in full thirty days after invoice date will result in the immediate suspension of the online sponsor package.

Partial payment plans can be negotiated on a case-by-case basis for sponsor packages lasting longer then three months.

AREA DEVELOPMENT CANCELLATION POLICY

• Written cancellation notice must be received by Area Development a minimum of 30 days before the termination date
• Package cost will be short-rated to actual broadcast time according to posted prices
• Short-rates will be calculated in monthly increments (the rate for a campaign ending mid-month will include charges for that entire month)
• Any value-added considerations that were not originally assigned monetary value in the purchase order will be charged in full according to posted prices
