Overcoming Perception: Logistics,Transportation, and Distribution Jobs Essential to Global Economy
We expect goods to be available at retail. Logistics, transportation, and distribution jobs make this happen. These jobs are essential to the global economy and create jobs locally.
Can you send me any articles on why a locality would want distribution/warehousing? What does the future hold for distribution/warehousing ?

Tim Feemster, Managing Principal, Foremost Quality Logistics
Contrary to perception, industrial development offers good jobs in the $12-15.00+ range. This is far better for high school graduates than flipping burgers or being a WalMart greeter. If the company does value added services, there will be quality assurance positions, engineering/lean/process improvement positions, and multiple supervisory jobs.

Distribution will always be in the picture. We expect goods to be available at retail. Logistics, transportation, and distribution jobs make this happen. These jobs are essential to the global economy. Local communities have to overcome the perception that these jobs are low skill and low pay, they are not. They require multiple skills including computer data input, fork lift operation, lean concepts and execution, and customer focus.
