CFO's Importance Could Shift Focus to Tax Incentives
With site selection attention shifting to the chief financial officer (CFO), taxes and incentives could become even more critical to the location decision.
How do you see this shift affecting company site selection factors such as incentives, transportation, labor, etc.?

Christopher D. Lloyd, Senior Vice President and Director, Infrastructure and Economic Development, McGuireWoods Consulting
Incentives only make a good deal better, so even with the CFO ascending in importance, factors such as work force and location still drive decisions. That said, the growing role of the CFO will likely shift more attention to taxes and other long-term costs affecting a facility over time as a way to minimize costs.
