Communication Key to Turning Around a Problem Project
To turn around a project that has become problematic, start by improving communications with key stakeholders.
How can project managers turn around a project that is becoming in danger of going off schedule or is not managing risk effectively?

If the schedule is in place and risks have been identified, communicate with stakeholders. The communications must include not only the consequences, but options and recommendations that will correct the situation.
