Logistics Company Locating New Facility in Indiana
Area Development Online News Desk
United States Cold Storage Inc. (USCS), a provider of refrigerated warehouse and logistics services to the perishable food industry, will locate its new Midwest storage and distribution center in Lebanon, Indiana, with an investment of $38 million. The company plans to build a 300,000-square-foot refrigerated warehouse and create 100 new jobs by 2012. “Over the last few years, we’ve had a number of requests for USCS to provide coverage in the Indianapolis area,” says David Harlan, the company’s president and CEO. “Lebanon is a strategic location and USCS is looking forward to constructing an ultra-modern facility and hiring a quality work force from the nearby area.” Hiring will begin in January 2009, ahead of the planned facility opening the following June.
