Corporate Income Tax:
4 percent of net income plus a surtax of 3.35 percent on income in excess of $50,000

Corporate Franchise Tax: The Kansas Franchise Tax will be phased out over five years and the tax will be repealed altogether in 2011; beginning in 2007, the exemption threshold to pay a franchise tax will be increased from $100,000 to $1 million of net work; the rate would be reduced from the current $1.25 per $1,000 of shareholder net worth to $0.9375 in 2008, $0.625 in 2009, and $0.3125 in 2010, and then repealed in 2011; the maximum amount of franchise tax is $20,000

Sales and Use Tax: 5.3 percent state rate on gross receipts from sales or leases of tangible personal property and certain services; cities and counties may collect an additional maximum of 1 percent.
