Elite Comfort Solutions Expands Production in Verona, Mississippi

01/14/2019
Specialty foam manufacturer Elite Comfort Solutions is increasing production in Verona, Mississippi. The project is a $1.9 million corporate investment and will create 65 jobs over 12 months.

Elite Comfort Solutions’ investment will support the production of mattresses that will be competitive in the “bed-in-a-box” market. The mattresses will be compressed and shipped from the company directly to its customers. Elite Comfort Solutions currently employs 52 workers at its Verona location. The company expects to begin production of the new mattresses this spring.

“The Verona facility for Elite Comfort Solutions has an excellent track record in quality and safety. Because of this and the workforce of Northeast Mississippi, Elite Comfort Solutions is proud to expand operations for the facility,” said Elite Comfort Solutions Plant Manager Craig Cook. “The increased capacity will allow Elite Comfort Solutions to meet increased customer demand for its products.”

Mississippi Development Authority is providing assistance for building improvements and workforce training. Lee County is providing property tax exemptions in support of the project.

“Elite Comfort Solutions’ expansion in Verona continues into 2019 the economic growth Lee County and Northeast Mississippi have experienced in recent years. I appreciate the Elite Comfort Solutions team for bringing dozens of new jobs to our state and look forward to the company’s continued success,” Governor Phil Bryant said.

“Northeast Mississippians are known to be productive workers who take pride in quality craftsmanship, enabling companies like Elite Comfort Solutions to compete successfully in today’s ever-changing marketplace, said MDA Executive Director Glenn McCullough, Jr. “We salute the teamwork of the Community Development Foundation and Lee County, which, along with MDA, was instrumental in bringing 65 new career opportunities to Mississippians in the Lee County area.”
