New Breed Logistics Invests $23 Million To Expand Memphis, Tennessee Operations
01/16/2013
The expansion will occur at the company’s current Memphis facility, located at 4895 Citation Drive, with additional space leased at 4585 Quality Drive.
Joe Hauck, New Breed’s vice president of Marketing and Communications, said, “We continue to have opportunities to expand and grow throughout the country; however, in Memphis, the business environment, stable infrastructure and availability of a workforce with the skills we need combine to make it an excellent choice for both New Breed and our clients.”
“A $23 million investment and 468 jobs is no drop in the bucket,” Memphis Mayor A.C. Wharton said. “New Breed Logistics’ commitment to make this type of sizeable investment in their local operation is a serious injection to our local economy. I couldn’t be any more thrilled than I already am by this tremendous economic development announcement which also shows the administration’s commitment to bringing real jobs to real people.”
“It speaks volumes for Tennessee’s business friendly environment when visionary leaders like Louis DeJoy continue to invest and grow their company in our state,” Community Development Commissioner Bill Hagerty said. “Louis has built a company that is at the forefront of its industry, and we appreciate the hundreds of additional jobs New Breed Logistics will create with this expansion. I look forward to working with Louis and the rest of the New Breed Logistics team on future projects.” Information on incentives the firm might qualify for was not immediately available.
