NextLife Asset Recovery Services Invests $10 Million To Open Headquarters-Processing Facility in Rogers, Arkansas
10/18/2012
NextLife plans to recycle post-consumer plastics into an environmentally sustainable resin that can be used to manufacture new consumer plastic items at 1300 North Dixieland Road. The company said it has already secured agreements with several companies to supply post-consumer plastic waste.
"We are thrilled to be opening our third location and our second processing facility," said Ron Whaley, president and CEO of NextLife. "We are excited to bring green jobs to Arkansas. I want to thank both the State and Local officials who have made this day a reality."
NextLife's facility in Rogers will collect and sort the post-consumer plastic waste in what will be the first of three phases for NextLife's growth plans in Arkansas. The second phase will establish production lines to turn the plastic waste into sustainable resin, and the third phase will allow the company to establish joint ventures and manufacturing facilities with plastic goods manufacturers.
"NextLife brings together a growing clean-technology center with Arkansas's strong tradition in manufacturing," Gov. Mike Beebe said. "By locating these jobs to Northwest Arkansas, NextLife is the latest company to send notice that this emerging field holds great promise for creating American jobs." The Governor said as an incentive the firm will receive $500,000 from the state's Quick Action Fund, tax credits based on job creation and sales tax reductions.
"I couldn't be more excited to welcome NextLife to Rogers," said Rogers Mayor Greg Hines. "NextLife's highly innovative and environmentally sustainable mission is a welcome fit to the city, 'where possible lives'. Adding jobs in this highly competitive business climate is a big win for Rogers."
