Lubrication Specialties Invests More Than $1.9 Million To Establish Operations Center In Morrow County, Ohio
10/28/2014
The LSI’s new 30,000-square-foot facility, which will include office, manufacturing, research & development and warehouse space, is expected to be complete by the end of 2015. The new structure will be located off of Interstate 71 in Morrow County and will replace the company’s existing facility at 255 Neal Avenue in Mount Gilead.
“We’re proud to have grown over the past 17 years from a home-based business to a recognized brand, selling products directly to major retailers and distributors nationwide,” said Chris Gabrelcik, Founder/President, LSI. “The Columbus Region’s business climate and access to key automotive customers has helped nurture that growth, making the decision to expand locally an easy one.”
The creation of 20 new jobs will include office, manufacturing and warehouse positions, and will boost the company’s current workforce by nearly 50 percent. Hiring for the new jobs is expected to begin in 2015 and be completed in the next three years.
“It’s encouraging to see a local company like LSI progress from a homegrown business to a major automotive industry supplier,” said Patricia Davies, Development Director, Morrow County. “We are excited for the company to anchor a key industrial park fronting I-71, and even more excited about the high-quality job opportunities this expansion will bring Morrow County.”
