DataBank Plans Kansas City, Kansas, Data Center
10/31/2017
"Building a third data center in Kansas City demonstrates the confidence we have in this market," said Raul K. Martynek, CEO of DataBank. "Kansas City is a great place to do business, and we’ve seen consistent demand from local and regional enterprises for the quality data center space and services we offer."
DataBank evaluated several markets across the U.S. and chose to expand in Kansas City due to its availability of utility power and network providers. KC was also chosen because of its strong tech labor force as well as the collaborative business environment in the KC region.
KCADC was proud to work with a number of regional partners in attracting DataBank to expand in the region: City of Lenexa, Lenexa Chamber of Commerce, Kansas Department of Commerce, KCP&L, and JLL. “We are thrilled that DataBank will expand their footprint in Kansas City,” said Tim Cowden, President & CEO, Kansas City Area Development Council. “KC offers a thriving tech hub environment, and will continue to grow thanks to DataBank.”
