Eldor Automotive Powertrain USA Opens Daleville, Virginia, Manufacturing Hub

Eldor Automotive Powertrain USA, a subsidiary of Italy-based automotive manufacturer Eldor Corporation S.p.A., opened its new North American manufacturing facility in Daleville, Virginia.

Eldor is a diversified automotive manufacturer, supplying ignition systems, electronic control units, full systems for hybrid and electric vehicles and e-mobility solutions globally.

According to company officials the Eldor USA plant is part of Eldor’s vision for expansion and growth in the North American market. The company chose to settle in Botetourt County, VA due to its strategic location, pro-business environment, workforce, and proximity to exceptional universities.

The company is investing $75M for the new facility and the new production lines; this project will guarantee the creation of more than 350 new jobs in the Roanoke region. The new plant features fully-automated production lines, designed and developed in-house.

Nowadays Eldor is focusing on main macro trends of the automotive industry: electrification of vehicle, robotics, smart materials, clean energy, defect free factory.
