ConeXus World Global Plans $1.8 Million Expansion Of Louisville, Kentucky, Operations Center

Area Development Online News Desk (11/14/2012)
A company that helps customers plan, build, support and manage network and IT infrastructures, ConeXus World Global LLC, plans a $1.8 million expansion of its operations center in Louisville, Kentucky.

The company that operates office centers in Kentucky and Belgium plans to add a 7,200-square-foot technical center in Louisville, which will handle support and dispatch operations for customers around the world. The expansion will help fulfill the company’s growing installation service agreements for mobile telephone technology.

“ConeXus has a unique opportunity to provide solutions to the mobile telecommunications industry as it transitions from the high cost and complex tower-based transmission systems to local cell-based transmission infrastructure,” said ConeXus President Rick Mills. “We are truly excited about the growth of our company and the support we have received from Greater Louisville Inc., the city of Louisville and the Commonwealth of Kentucky.”

“We’re excited to see 30 new jobs and growth for ConeXus, a Kentucky company that has an expanding global footprint with a business presence on two continents,” said Gov. Steve Beshear. “The Commonwealth has established a productive partnership with ConeXus, resulting in new jobs, increased investment and a promising future.”

As an incentive to encourage the investment and job growth in Louisville, the Kentucky Economic Development Finance Authority preliminarily approved the company for tax incentives up to $500,000 through the Kentucky Business Investment program. The performance-based incentive allows a company to keep a portion of its investment over the term of the agreement through corporate income tax credits and wage assessments by meeting job and investment targets.

“As technology needs increase and become more sophisticated, it is important that our local businesses have access to the specialists who can help them manage their communications and IT needs most effectively,” said Louisville Mayor Greg Fischer. "ConeXus has demonstrated its confidence in Louisville as it seeks to expand its operations and be successful here.” “We are thrilled to see growth and expansion within Louisville’s tech sector and to have the company’s U.S. headquarters thriving here,” said Eileen Pickett, executive vice president of economic development for Greater Louisville Inc.
