SendGrid Opens Denver, Colorado, Global Headquarters
11/16/2016
The new space consolidates SendGrid's multiple Colorado office footprint into a single Denver location to drive employee engagement, collaboration and productivity. The office was designed to hold more than two times the current Colorado employee-base to accommodate its growth plan of 900 employees globally by the year 2020.
"The opening of our new Denver headquarters is an important milestone for SendGrid as we continue our evolution and maturation as a market-leading SaaS communication provider," said Sameer Dholakia, CEO of SendGrid. "We're excited to have all of our over 260 Colorado employees together in one office so we can continue to innovate and collaborate as we attract new customers and introduce new features to our existing customers."
The office features open workspaces and collaboration spaces that are placed along the windows, rather than the interior corridor, to ensure light and street views aren't blocked for employees.
"SendGrid invested in Colorado's first ever WiFi-enabled shuttle service to connect our employee-base and office in Boulder with our new global headquarters in Denver," said Yancey Spruill, CFO & COO of SendGrid. "Connecting the two communities enables us to recruit from both talent pools in an innovative and productive way that is critical to our 4H culture."
"We're very proud to welcome SendGrid to the roster of innovators that are choosing Denver as a home base for their future growth," said Denver Mayor, Michael Hancock. "This is a signature business expansion for our downtown, startup and tech communities that will pay dividends for both the firm and the city for years to come."
"SendGrid is an outstanding community partner for Downtown Denver, as well as our entrepreneurial programs like Denver Startup Week," said Tami Door, President & CEO, Downtown Denver Partnership. "By choosing to grow its global headquarters in Downtown Denver, SendGrid showcases the strength of our culture of innovation and entrepreneurship and the importance of a center city location to attract and recruit top talent."
