Nestlé Waters North America Plans $40 Million Bottling Facility In McBee, South Carolina

Nestlé Waters North America, the nation’s leading bottled water company, plans to build a $40 million, two-line water bottling facility in Chesterfield County near McBee, South Carolina.

The approximately 200,000 square-foot facility will produce bottled spring water under the company’s Deer Park brand and bottled purified water under the Nestlé Pure Life brand for distribution to customers primarily in the Southeastern United States. The facility is anticipated to open in early 2016 and is expected to create at least 40 jobs in the region. The hiring process is anticipated to begin in the summer of 2015.

“We’ve been studying water in Chesterfield County for several years and we look forward to continuing to build strong relationships in the community as this new facility becomes operational,” said Nestlé Waters Senior Natural Resource Specialist Lance Tully.

“We're excited to congratulate Nestlé Waters on their decision to establish a new bottling facility in Chesterfield County. Their $40 million investment and plans to create 40 new jobs is terrific news for the McBee community, our manufacturing industry, and the entire state. We look forward to supporting Nestlé as they grow and thrive in South Carolina,” Governor Nikki Haley said.
