XPO Logistics Expands Dublin, Ohio, Operations Facility

11/05/2015
XPO Logistics, formerly Pacer International, a global provider of cutting-edge supply chain solutions, plans to expand its operations in Dublin, Ohio. The company will retain 380 jobs and hire 70 new associates. According to a development agreement approved by Dublin City Council, the company will sign a lease for an office location in the city through at least the end of 2022.

The company provides high-value-add services for truck brokerage and transportation, last mile logistics, intermodal, contract logistics, ground and air expedite, drayage, global forwarding and managed transportation.

According to Dublin city officials, the retention and expansion project was in competition with other Central Ohio office locations and the State of North Carolina. The Economic Development Agreement proposed by the City to XPO Logistics includes a five-year, 10% performance incentive on withholdings collected (2016-2020), that is capped at $250,972 for the term of the agreement.

“We want to thank Dublin for their continued support,” said XPO President Paul Smith. “Since being acquired by XPO Logistics we have seen tremendous growth. We are now a $15 billion entity. What Dublin brings as a city aligns with XPO– progressive and driven by technology.”

City Council also approved a development agreement from Doucet & Associates, a Dublin-based foreclosure defense and consumer law firm seeking to relocate and expand its corporate headquarters. The law firm currently leases 5,000 square feet at 700 Stonehenge Parkway. Doucet & Associates plans to lease 9,370 square feet in a new office building on Stonehenge Parkway, with plans to expand to approximately 14,000 square feet within 18 months. The project will result in the retention of 13 employees and the addition of 16 new employees by 2021.

The Economic Development Agreement is a five-year, 15% performance incentive on withholdings collected on its employees (2017-2021), capped at $14,000 for the term of the agreement. The City is also providing a $2,500 relocation grant to offset moving costs.
