Area Development Online News Desk (12/14/2011)
DealerTrack expects to create 150 jobs in 2012 due to the expansion of its software solutions technology used by automotive dealers, according to a story by the Long Island Business News. Half of the positions will be filled at the firm’s Nassau County corporate headquarters in Lake Success, NY, while the remaining jobs will be filled at its offices located around the nation.

“The creation of these jobs is the just a result of organic growth,” said DealerTrack spokesman Michael DiMeo. "The auto retail market was able to turn some things around this year, so in turn we did better this year.”

The company's Dealer Management System software gives dealers inventory management and data access tools designed to help them increase both in-store and online traffic via real-time listings. Additionally, DealerTrack’s online credit application network (the largest in the U.S.) connects about 17,000 dealers with more than 1,100 lenders.
