Area Development Online News Desk (12/15/2011)
Wilbert Plastic Services Inc. (WPS) will create 150 new jobs at its plant in Lebanon, Kentucky, due to the addition of a new product line. The project is expected to annually inject $4.6 million in gross wages into the Marion County economy.

Recently the company was awarded a new contact with Ford to make auto interior components and associated parts to support assembly of the 2013 Ford Escape and other models at the Louisville Assembly Plant.

The City of Lebanon received a $1 million Community Development Block Grant (on behalf of the Marion County Industrial Foundation). The money will be used to purchase manufacturing equipment that will be leased to WPS to support its line expansion.

WPS was founded in 1965 as a division of Wilbert Inc., a 108-year-old manufacturing and service company. Its Lebanon facility is a plastics manufacturing company which currently employs 110 workers.
