Toronto-Dominion Bank Opens Credit Card Center In Wilmington, Delaware

Toronto-Dominion Bank and its subsidiaries are collectively known as TD Bank Group, the sixth largest bank in North America, opened a credit card office to support the growth of its North American credit card business at the Hercules Building in Wilmington, Delaware, where it plans to hire approximately 100 employees.

TD said it chose the Delaware location because of the area's deep and experienced pool of talent in the credit card and payments industry, in addition to it being an excellent environment for conducting business. Headquartered in Cherry Hill, New Jersey, the Primary job functions at the Delaware center will include risk management, compliance, legal and some technology resources.

"Our Wilmington facility will allow us to be even more integrated from a capabilities, distribution and platform perspective," said Michael Rhodes, Executive Vice President, North American Credit Cards and Merchant Services, TD Bank Group. "Our goal is to be a world class North American credit cards and merchant services business and growing our presence in the U.S. with the right team and capabilities is an integral part of our strategy."
