Fort Madison, IA, Awarded $1.34 Million Govt. Grant to Boost Wind Power Cluster

Fort Madison, Iowa, has received a $1.34 million grant from the U.S. Department of Commerce to boost efforts to build up its wind power manufacturing cluster.

The grant is expected to help Siemens Energy expand its wind energy production facility, according to a story by the Associated Press.

The monies also will help finance sanitary sewer infrastructure improvements needed to advance the area’s wind power manufacturing activities.
