Eurofins Panlabs Expands St. Charles, Missouri, Operations Complex
12/23/2015
Globally, Eurofins is a leader in bio-analysis including food and pharmaceutical products testing. The growth brings the St. Charles-based company’s workforce to about 55. To assist Eurofins with its expansion in St. Charles, the Missouri Department of Economic Development has offered a strategic economic incentive package that the company can receive if it meets strict job creation criteria.
“We need high-quality scientists from an array of disciplines, and our ability to attract these workers here is possible because of high-caliber institutions in the region such as Washington University, St. Louis University, University of Missouri and other regional universities,” said Christina Shasserre, Senior Vice President of Eurofins Pharma Discovery and Bioanalytics Services U.S. “We are excited about the opportunity to expand within the region while building our talent pool of scientific and support staff.”
“This is good news for Missouri, and these added jobs are just one part of the rich bioscience and tech ecosystem in the area,” said Mike Downing, Director of the Missouri Department of Economic Development. “We’re of course pleased that Eurofins is harnessing the power of this ecosystem for their growth.”
"This expansion underscores the strength of the growing bioscience sector in the St. Louis region," said Joe Reagan, President/CEO of the St. Louis Regional Chamber. "Eurofins is a global leader in food and environmental testing services and we are thrilled to be helping them make this expansion happen."
