Paylocity Expands Its Lake Mary, Florida, Operations Center

12/07/2015
Paylocity, is a provider of cloud-based payroll and HR management software solutions for medium-sized organizations, is expanding in Lake Mary, Florida. The company plans to create 176 new jobs. In addition to the expansion, Paylocity will retain 150 jobs and invest approximately $1.45 million in the local community.

“Our Lake Mary, Florida office plays a vital role in Paylocity’s mission to elevate payroll and human resources from the backroom to the boardroom. We look forward to a bright future as we expand and add even more talented and committed team members,” says Steve Beauchamp, Paylocity CEO.

The Paylocity expansion was made possible through partnerships between the Florida Department of Economic Opportunity, the Orlando Economic Development Commission, Seminole County, the City of Lake Mary, CareerSource Florida, the University of Central Florida, Seminole State College, Seminole County Public Schools and Enterprise Florida

“We are finding more and more IT companies expanding their presence in Orlando,” said Rick Weddle, President/CEO of the Orlando Economic Development Commission. “Our well-educated and diverse workforce is elevating the region as a top destination for IT talent.”

“We will stay focused on diversifying Florida’s economy by cutting $1 billion in taxes this year so businesses across the state can keep creating jobs and Florida can become first for job growth,” said Governor Rick Scott.

As part of the project, CareerSource Florida has offered Paylocity performance-based grants for employee training through the Quick Response Training program. Quick Response Training grants are structured to be flexible and responsive to the training needs of new or expanding businesses.

“Our collective goal is to attract more companies, especially those within our targeted industries, to expand and add careers in our region,” said CareerSource Central Florida President/CEO Pamela J. Nabors. “Central Florida has an abundance of highly skilled, highly educated talent, and to see businesses recognize and react to our rich talent pool, either by locating or expanding here, shows we’re on the right track to meeting their needs.”

“Seminole State College, through our Quick Response Training Grant program, is pleased to assist Paylocity as it again expands its operations in Lake Mary. This is the third QRT grant our staff has supported for this fast-growing software company since 2012. This sustained growth will provide excellent employment opportunities for our region and for our graduates,” said Seminole State College of Florida President Dr. E. Ann McGee.
