Canadian Auto Supplier Locating Facility in Indiana

12/09/2009
Windsor Machine Group, a Canada-based manufacturer of automotive components, will invest more than US$4 million to locate a facility in Princeton, Indiana, according to the Indiana governor's office. The company plans to create 130 new jobs over the next year, including the immediate hire of manufacturing and supervisory personnel. Windsor will lease a 25,000-square-foot warehouse, where it will produce headrests for the Toyota Motor Manufacturing facility also located in Princeton; the company will also fulfill contracts with General Motors Company and Ford Motor Company. "We have started the process of filling team-member positions as we anticipate starting production just after the first of the new year," says David Zultek, Windsor's chief financial officer. The state has offered Windsor up to $275,000 in performance-based tax credits and $39,000 in training grants, contingent on job creation; the county will provide additional property tax abatement.
