KentuckyOne Health Invests $5.5 Million To Establish Headquarters In Louisville, Kentucky

KentuckyOne Health, an integrated comprehensive health system with many facilities, services and providers, plans to invest $5.5 million to locate its headquarters in Louisville, Kentucky.

“Downtown Louisville is the right choice for our headquarters for a number of reasons, including the proximity to several of our Louisville facilities; easy access to other areas in the Commonwealth; convenient access to the Louisville International Airport and a location in the largest city in the Commonwealth,” said Ruth W. Brinkley, president and CEO of KentuckyOne Health. “In addition, the Jewish Hospital Medical Plaza is already one of our owned assets, which made it a financially viable option. The alignment of our recently announced partnership with the University of Louisville Hospital James Graham Brown Cancer Center is another reason why this is the right decision.”

Steve Beshear. “Kentucky and Louisville are great places to do business and establish headquarters. This is a great day for KentuckyOne Health and the Commonwealth.”

As an incentive to encourage the investment and job growth in Louisville, the Kentucky Economic Development Finance Authority preliminarily approved the company for tax incentives up to $240,000 through the Kentucky Business Investment program. The performance-based incentive allows a company to keep a portion of its investment over the term of the agreement through corporate income tax credits and wage assessments by meeting job and investment targets.

“The continued growth of KentuckyOne Health reinforces Louisville’s global reputation as the premier city for healthcare companies to locate in and flourish,” said Louisville Mayor Greg Fischer. “It also validates our laser-like focus on growing the lifelong wellness and aging-care sector of our economy to provide better job opportunities for our citizens and attract new talent to our city.”

Richard, president and CEO of Greater Louisville Inc. “KentuckyOne Health’s additional investment is a win for our downtown medical campus and further strengthens our position as a leader in the health care industry.”
