ASCO Power Technologies, a subsidiary of global technology company Emerson, will invest $11.4 million to expand its manufacturing facility in Welcome, North Carolina, according to the North Carolina governor's office. The expansion is expected to create 328 new jobs over the next five years at an average annual wage of $43,924 plus benefits. ASCO manufactures automatic backup power systems that protect hospitals, data centers and telecommunication networks. Incentives offered to ASCO include a grant of up to $2.54 million over nine years contingent on job creation and retention, as well as $160,000 in incentives from local government agencies.
