Helicopter Maker Expanding in Pennsylvania

AgustaWestland Philadelphia, a manufacturer of commercial and paramilitary helicopters, will expand its North American headquarters and manufacturing facility in southeastern Philadelphia. The $32 million project will add approximately 284,000 square feet for assembly, manufacturing, warehouse, and office space. More than 200 new jobs are planned as part of the expansion, and 185 existing positions will be retained. According to the Pennsylvania governor's office, the state has provided a $400,000 incentive package to the company to assist with the expansion.
