Post Consumer Brands Establishes Distribution Center In Byhalia, Mississippi
02/22/2016
A business unit of Post Holdings, Inc., located its distribution operations in the 554,000-square-foot Spec Building II in the Gateway Global Logistics Center, which is located in the Chickasaw Trail Industrial Park.
“North Mississippi is a prime location for companies with distribution needs. I appreciate the Post Consumer Brands team for realizing the benefits of doing business in Mississippi. I know the company’s new location in Marshall County will allow it to effectively and efficiently serve its customers,” Governor Phil Bryant said. “I wish the company many years of success in our state.”
Mississippi Development Authority provided guidance on ad valorem tax abatements for the project. Marshall County provided ad valorem tax exemptions for the project, as well as a free port warehouse exemption for finished goods inventory leaving the state.
“MDA welcomes Post Consumer Brands as the newest corporate citizen to the state of Mississippi. We thank the company for bringing 32 new career opportunities to the people of Marshall County,” said MDA Executive Director Glenn McCullough. “We salute our partners at the Marshall County Industrial Development Authority and the Marshall County Board of Supervisors. Their teamwork with MDA played an important role in bringing Post Consumer Brands to North Mississippi.”
