Precision Spine, Inc Expands Campus In Pearl, Mississippi

Medical device manufacturer Precision Spine, Inc. will add a third building to its campus in Pearl, Mississippi. The building will expand the total manufacturing facility footprint by 30% to just under 30,000 square feet of space and creating 25 new jobs.

As part of the expansion, the company created space dedicated to the production of custom products, prototypes and instrumentation. Future plans call for incorporation of advanced technologies into the facility, including 3D printing, clean room packaging and sterilization, automated assembly processes, barcode scanning, and automated distribution.

“Made in the USA is not a slogan at Precision Spine, it’s our core value,” said Chris DeNicola, Executive Vice President of Operations. “We continue to invest in the U.S. because of the quality of our workers and materials, as well as our commitment to advancing the economic well-being of our country. This commitment has led to our being one of the fastest growing spine companies in the U.S. over the last five years, funded by the profits and cash flow generated by the company. This manufacturing expansion will enable us to continue vertically integrating in-house production, warehousing and delivery right here in the United States so that we can bring new products and line extensions to the market faster and more cost-effectively. In fact, we are positioned to launch five major products, as well as three important line extensions.”

According to the firm, key to the company’s continued commitment to Made in the USA manufacturing is the near-future creation of an area dedicated to the production of sterile-packaged product. Later this year, the company will be launching other sterile-packaged products from its own facility.
