Food Producer Expanding in Michigan

Boar's Head Provisions, a maker of deli meats and cheeses based in Florida, will invest $20 million to expand its meat processing operation in Holland Township, Michigan, according to the Grand Rapids Press. More than 250 new jobs are expected as a result of the expansion, boosting the company's local work force by more than 25 percent. The Press reports that the state of Michigan provided the company with an economic development incentives package worth nearly $2 million, including tax breaks and a grant for public infrastructure improvements.
