“It will provide a real boost to our local economy and we’re looking forward to partnering closely with Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Georgia in this effort. This is an exciting day for our company and for the city of Columbus,” said Morgan Kendrick, President, Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Georgia. “These are important jobs with solid benefits and the new positions will be specifically focused on helping our customers better navigate the changes that are coming under the ACA.”

The new positions will be housed at the company’s facility on Warm Springs Road and will include both entry level and managerial positions in the areas of customer service, claims, training and other operational functions. With the addition of the new jobs, BCBS of Georgia will have more than 1400 associates in Columbus. The new jobs are being filled in phases with all hiring expected to be concluded by late summer, the company said.
