Integrated Animal Health Relocates Global Headquarters To Lawrence, Kansas’ Animal Health Corridor

04/14/2015
Integrated Animal Health will increase its footprint in the KC Animal Health Corridor and bring its Global Headquarters to Lawrence, Kansas.

The formerly Queensland, Australia-based animal health company also announced a permanent location at the Bioscience & Technology Business Center at the University of Kansas.

Integrated Animal Health will initially lease 700 square feet at the BTBC with options to expand as the company grows. IAH expects to hire 51 employees during the next several years. Integrated Animal Health becomes the 35th tenant company in the Bioscience & Technology Business Center, which includes two facilities in Lawrence and a third at KU Medical Center. These companies total nearly 150 jobs and more than $8 million in payroll.

“IAH continues to evolve and grow rapidly,” said Rob Neely, Founder of IAH. “As we looked at locales literally from the California coast to the Eastern seaboard, we kept coming back to the concentration of talent and opportunities in the Animal Health Corridor. We were struck by the work ethic of the area and the openness of the people and companies here to our breakthrough technologies.”

“Locating in Lawrence and within the BTBC opens tremendous opportunities, not the least of which is tapping into a nationally recognized research institution like KU,” said Dr. Blake Hawley, CEO of the Americas for IAH. “We are thrilled by the reception we have gotten here and look forward to exceptional national and international growth from this dynamic hub for animal feeding, care and health. We are committed to making Lawrence our home for the long term.”

“We are excited to welcome Integrated Animal Health to the BTBC at KU,” said G.R. Underwood, President, BTBC. “The company considered a number of locations across the country, but ultimately chose the BTBC because of our top notch facilities, our business support and services, and our access to KU researchers, labs, and students. We look forward to working with IAH to create new jobs in the region and new technologies that benefit the world.”

“Integrated Animal Health’s decision to base its global headquarters in Lawrence highlights the world-class capabilities of the Bioscience & Technology Business Center and the KC Animal Health Corridor,” Kansas Commerce Secretary Pat George said.

The Kansas Department of Commerce worked with the Kansas City Area Development Council, the city of Lawrence, Douglas County, the Lawrence Chamber of Commerce, the Economic Development Corporation of Lawrence and Douglas County, the University of Kansas, Bioscience and Technology Business Center- Lawrence, INTRUST Bank, Kansas Gas Service and Westar Energy to help bring IAH to Lawrence.

“We are thrilled to not only welcome IAH and its North American headquarters and commercial operations, but now its global base of operations,” said Kimberly Young, president, KC Animal Health Corridor. “The Corridor is home to the largest concentration of animal health industry assets in the world, and more and more companies are seeing the benefit of a Corridor location.”

“Integrated Animal Health is an up and coming company with very promising new bioscience technology that will help create new jobs and new potential collaborations with the BTBC and the University of Kansas,” said Larry McElwain, President and CEO of the Lawrence Chamber of Commerce. “We are grateful to its leadership in choosing Lawrence.”
