Sure Trac Expands Loris, South Carolina, Manufacturing Plant

04/27/2018
Sure Trac, an existing Horry County manufacturer of high-quality axles, plans to invest $2.5 million to expand its operations in Loris, South Carolina.

Founded in 1996, Sure Trac manufactures high-quality axles for a variety of applications, including utility trailers and manufactured homes. Sure Trac also has manufacturing and distribution operations in Loris, South Carolina and Hewitt, Texas. To expand its operations in Horry County, the company will renovate an existing 62,500-square-foot facility off Highway 701 in Loris.

“Our family began Sure Trac in Horry County, and it has proven to be successful. When picking the best location for the company to expand, we feel it is still in our hometown. Horry County and the state of South Carolina have shown us that they are supportive of our company and the expansion. We appreciate the assistance of Horry County, South Carolina, the business community and our Sure Trac employees,” Dale Powell of Sure Trac said.

“South Carolina’s robust manufacturing industry continues to grow by leaps and bounds, and today’s announcement by Sure Trac is just the latest example of that. These 20 new jobs are a big win for the Horry County community, and we look forward to continuing this successful partnership with Sure Trac,” said Secretary of Commerce Bobby Hitt.

“I am excited about this expansion of Sure Trac in Loris and their commitment to invest over $2.5 million and create 20 jobs. Having our existing industries and businesses expand in Horry County is proof that we have a great environment for businesses to succeed and that we have a great team of partners who are willing and able to support them, Horry County Council Chairman Mark Lazarus said.

“On behalf of the entire MBREDC board, I would like to thank Sure Trac for their continued investment and commitment to Horry County. We are always excited to have existing industries expand, and we look forward to continuing to work with the entire Sure Trac team for years to come,” said Myrtle Beach Regional Economic Development Corporation Chairman Neyle.
