SambaSafety Plans To Double Its Workforce-Consolidate Customer Care Center In Albuquerque, New Mexico

05/01/2015
SambaSafety, the market leader of cloud-based driver risk management solutions, plans to double its New Mexico workforce over the next few years. As part of its corporate growth plan, the company will also consolidate all of its national customer care operations at its headquarters by the end of 2015 in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

"Since our founding in 1998, we have been very proud of our heritage as a New Mexico-based company," said SambaSafety Executive Chairman John Bingaman. "We will continue to prioritize growth here in New Mexico, with an emphasis on recruiting great people and providing them with ongoing opportunities for achievement."

SambaSafety's most recent move to build out its New Mexico headquarters comes as a result of the company's unprecedented growth, company officials said. In 2011, the private investment firm Cerca Group LLC purchased SambaSafety and led investments in organic growth and acquisition—enabling SambaSafety to offer a national driver risk management software solution that supports the entire driver workforce life cycle, from pre-hire screening through post-hire driver management. Currently, the company's 145 employees in six offices across the nation serve more than 14,000 customers.

"Governor Martinez and the legislature are working to create a positive climate that supports entrepreneurship and corporate growth. With the state's help, SambaSafety has grown from a local provider of vehicle registration data and applications—delivering over $100 million to New Mexico in the form of state fees, registration fees and excise tax in 2014 alone—to the nation's leading provider of driver risk management services," said SambaSafety CEO Richard Crawford.

"Due to the extraordinary national demand for our services, SambaSafety continues to recruit the best and brightest in engineering, customer care, account management, and accounting. Our success is testament to New Mexico's ability to support a thriving, high tech ecosystem. We need to promote New Mexico as a great place to live and work and develop other high tech companies in the state,” he added.
