Customer Service Provider Adding 900 Jobs in South Carolina
Area Development Online News Desk (05/11/2009)
Sykes Enterprises, a provider of customer contact management solutions and services, will expand operations at its facilities in Greenwood and Kingstree, South Carolina, and establish a new operation in Sumter County, South Carolina, according to state commerce officials. More than 900 jobs will be created at the three locations. "We continue to see a strong demand for outsourcing amidst current economic conditions as businesses continue to lok to Sykes to entrust their customer care needs, allowing them to focus on core competencies, leverage efficiencies, and provide for the efficient use of capital," says Chuck Sykes, the company's president and CEO. "I am confident the commitment, dedication, and outstanding work ethic Sykes found in South Carolina will lead to success for our clients and for the new communities in which we operate." Commerce officials did not provide a timetable for when the new jobs would be filled or any information regarding financial incentives offered to Sykes Enterprises.
