Nutramax Expands in South Carolina Facility

Nutramax announced today that it has chosen South Carolina to locate its expanded operations. The company will invest approximately $12.5 million to acquire, update, and expand its existing facilities. It will also create at least 200 jobs over the next five years. It plans to being operating at the new plant in the fall.

"We feel that South Carolina and Lancaster County provide the perfect setting for our businesses to grow, and our employees and their families to live and work in an area with safe, affordable housing, plentiful recreational opportunities, and quality of life," said company President Dr. Todd Henderson.

The plans will require Nutramax to significantly expand the Lancaster County facility. The company is currently based in Edgewood, Maryland. The South Carolina expansion will allow it to increase production of goods in its veterinary and consumer sectors.

Nutramax produces the veterinary drugs Dasuquin, Cosequin, Denamarin, and Denosyl, and the Cosamin joint health supplement for people.
