SGM Precision Expands To New Manufacturing Center In Northbrook, Illinois

05/02/2016
SGM Precision, a privately-held contract manufacturer, will relocate to a new expanded facility in Northbrook, Illinois. SGM, in operation for more than 70 years, will move from Skokie, Illinois to a 117,000 square-foot building during the fourth quarter of 2016. Located on more than four-acres of land in suburban Northbrook, the new facility is more than three times the size of its Skokie facility.

"This new building is a testament to our history of high-quality manufacturing and fabrication that has built our brand," said Howard J. Natal, President of SGM. "Our global customers understand that to deliver the exceptional quality and exact tolerances that they demand, requires a facility that is modern, flexible and has the infrastructure to accommodate new fabrication resources."

SGM is a certified contract-manufacturer of high-quality, exact tolerance plastic and metal parts for some of the most well-known Fortune 500 companies in Aerospace, Defense and the Life-Sciences industries. SGM is able to fabricate 'custom-per-print' components from a wide range of exotic metals and phenolic/thermoset laminates. SGM is an ITAR-registered AS9100-2009, Rev.C and ISO 9001:2008 certified manufacturer.

SGM which has a quality policy of Total Customer Satisfaction, has approximately 80 employees and expects to add new hires once the move is complete. "We appreciate the support and cooperation of the Village of Northbrook and we look forward to becoming an active member of the township," said Natal.
