Indy Gets the Green Flag for 1,000+ New Jobs

Three new investments will create nearly 1,500 new jobs over the next three years in different Indiana locations.

IBM will invest $2.9 million to build a call center in Daleville, creating 500 new positions by 2010. The company will also add 500 additional employees throughout the state. IBM already employs more than 1,000 Hoosiers.

In Carmel, the Capital Group Companies will build a 160,000-square-foot facility for its investment management business and hire more than 300 new employees at an average salary of $50,000. The company will also add jobs to its existing offices in Indianapolis.

And orthopedics company Zimmer Holdings, Inc. will expand its Warsaw manufacturing and distribution facility by 220,000 square feet, at an investment of $66 million, creating 140 new jobs.
