“More and more businesses are turning to Missouri to connect with the best workers in the nation and find success. And this means that hundreds of Missourians will have more opportunities to find good jobs. We look forward to seeing these companies continue to grow in our state,” said Governor Eric Greitens.
According to Missouri Economic Development, Triumph Foods, a pork processing operation, plans a $1.5 million investment to add new machinery and equipment at its headquarters and production plant. The company plans to create 72 jobs. With a workforce of over 2,800 today, the company that processes in excess of six million hogs each year began processing operations in St. Joseph in 2006.
Not too far away, St. Joe Petroleum, a distributor of oil lubricants including Phillips66 products, as well as Shell, Mobil, and American Oil brands, plans a capital investment of $110,000 to expand operations.
Finally, the City of St. Joseph will be assisting Johnson Controls, a global leader in building products and technology, integrated solutions, energy storage and information-based retail solutions, with its $36 million capital growth and expansion plan.
