Beech-Nut Nutrition Corporation, producer of all-natural baby foods, will construct a new, 650,000-square-foot facility in Florida, New York, and relocate its corporate headquarters there from St. Louis. The new plant and headquarters, a $124 million investment, will replace an existing facility in Canajoharie, New York, retaining 356 jobs and creating approximately 135 new positions. The new facility is located in an Empire Zone, making Beech-Nut eligible for what state officials estimate as $42 million in benefits and tax credits; additional financial incentives were provided by other state and local agencies.
