CyrusOne Plans Mesa, Arizona Data Center Campus
06/08/2018
According to company officials, upon completion the new campus, located in the Mesa Elliot Technology Park, is planned to have five building facilities with up to 198 MW of critical power to power the new era of cloud computing services for the Fortune 1000.
CyrusOne has seen tremendous demand from customers since entering the Phoenix-Metro area in 2012, company officials said. This announcement of a second campus reflects growing customer demand for enhanced cloud services.
“CyrusOne continues to see heavy demand for cloud services among new and existing customers in the Phoenix-metro area. As the preeminent data center service provider for cloud services, we are always listening to our customer base in terms of where we need to be and what services we need to offer,” said Kevin Timmons, CTO, CyrusOne. “Officials in Mesa and Sunbelt have been great partners and we are proud to work alongside them as we help usher in a new era of jobs, growth and investment for the local community.”
“Southeast Mesa’s growing technology sector is the ideal location for CyrusOne. They provide the cloud services that all companies need to stay on top of business and grow,” Mayor John Giles said. “This is exactly what our predecessors envisioned when they invested in the Gateway area and created the Elliot Road Technology Corridor.”
CyrusOne operates 45 data center facilities across the United States, Europe and Asia to provide customers with the flexibility and scale to match their specific IT growth needs.
