Coyote Logistics Opens Operation Center In Atlanta, Georgia

07/20/2017
Coyote Logistics, a business unit of Atlanta-based United Parcel Service Inc., will create 325 professional jobs at its new operations center in Atlanta, Georgia.

The company will build out nearly 48,000 square feet of office space at 255 Ottley Drive in Northeast Atlanta, and create new full-time sales and customer service positions. The Chicago-based company utilizes proprietary technology and a strong, high-performing workforce to facilitate the movement of goods between shipping companies and carriers across a range of modes and services.

“Georgia continues to gain momentum in attracting logistics companies seeking unparalleled access to the Southeastern market,” said Governor Nathan Deal. “Coyote’s investment and decision to locate to Georgia will allow the UPS subsidiary to benefit from our arsenal of resources, including a well-connected business community and an expansive transportation infrastructure ready to serve its growing customer base. UPS is already making a substantial economic impact in the metro Atlanta area, and we look forward to welcoming Coyote to build on its success.”

“Georgia’s solid logistics and distribution sector continues to attract thriving companies such as Coyote Logistics,” said GDEcD Commissioner Pat Wilson. “This announcement is indicative of not only our pro-business environment, but our incredible relationship with UPS as well. Georgia offers a wealth of opportunities for global connectivity, and I look forward to the success that Coyote will have in our state.”

“The Atlanta office will support Coyote growth for our customer, carrier, operations and 24/7 response teams,” said Jonathan Sisler, Coyote President. “We’re growing our business globally, and that attracts interest in Coyote. We plan to draw upon top local talent who have the skills and initiative for our fast pace.”

“Coyote Logistics is a valued member of the metro Atlanta business community, and we are thrilled with their continued investment in the region,” said Hala Moddelmog, President & CEO of the Metro Atlanta Chamber. “Their commitment to our ecosystem is a testament to our position as the hub of the nation’s supply chain and logistics industry and our best-in-class workforce.”

Mayor Kasim Reed said, “With this move, Coyote will be closer to its parent company UPS, as well as have access to the Southeast’s most extensive rail system, the nation’s fastest growing container port in Savannah and the world’s busiest and most efficient passenger airport here in Atlanta. Our unmatched connectivity, transportation infrastructure and logistics sector will allow this company to reach its customers quickly and offer best-in-class service.”

“Recent expansion announcements by companies like UPS, Flexport and others continue to show that Atlanta is a hotbed for logistics businesses,” said Dr. Eloisa Klementich, President & CEO of Invest Atlanta. “Companies like Coyote are drawn to Atlanta’s high concentration of logistics firms, abundant talent and world-class logistics infrastructure. Coyote’s 325 new jobs and capital investment will bring a projected economic impact of $77.2 million to the city.”
